About
SGF’s Denver embryology lab is equipped with the latest technology to give patients every advantage on their journey to conceive, including HEPA-filtered clean air ventilation systems, heated work stations that simulate the In Vivo (Latin for “within the living”) environment, anti-vibration tables that prevent harm to specimens should the table shake, highly sophisticated inverted microscopes to better evaluate embryo growth and development, and advanced incubators and media, among many others.
SGF’s Denver IVF lab is updated with state-of-the-art equipment, environmental controls, and cutting-edge monitoring systems. It is accredited by the Joint Commission and the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART). SGF Colorado is a member of SART and the IVF lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). With an amazing view of Colorado’s Front Range mountains, our IVF lab team has the experience, knowledge, and skill set to help patients achieve their family-building goals.

Meet the IVF lab director at SGF Denver: Hyo Lee, Ph.D., HCLD
Hyo Lee, Ph.D., HCLD, is a High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director, certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). She earned her doctorate and master’s degree focusing on multi-disciplinary research in Oocyte Mechanics/Biophysics and Reproductive Biology at Johns Hopkins University.

David Russell
David Russell earned his bachelor’s of science in biology at the University of New Mexico. With more than 20 years of experience in an embryology lab, he serves as the lab manager at SGF Colorado to help patients build their families. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, biking, gardening, and bee keeping.
