Q&A

Being a doctor allows me to take on different roles, all of which are challenging. Science was always fascinating to me and medicine is a very gratifying application of it. There are so many ways to make a difference and help improve a person’s quality of life. As a doctor who specializes in helping patients build their families, it is a privilege to help them achieve their goals for health and ultimately fulfill their identities as parents.

I have a son and twin girls who inspire me every day to be a better person for them and for myself. They remind me every day of what is important and to take time to really be present in the moment. They make sure there is plenty of laughter in my life!

My family loves to travel and giving back is very important. My husband grew up overseas and I have worked in Africa, South America and Asia on several projects. We both would love to return to the countries in which we grew up.

I love to watch movies, learn salsa dancing, and practice power yoga. I like learning new languages and trying new foods. I also have dabbled in sailing but don’t trust me to tie a proper knot!

I was planning to be a gynecologic oncologist because I loved the surgery but late in my application process a very close mentor told me to withdraw my application because my skill set was a better match as a fertility specialist. I have been thanking him ever since! I love what I do and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
