Biography

Wende Allen brings over 25 years of experience as a Physician Assistant to Shady Grove Fertility, specializing in infertility and advanced gynecologic care. She works closely with our physicians in all aspects of evaluation and management of our patients and performs many of the diagnostic procedures for the Towson office.

Ms. Allen completed her undergraduate studies in Behavior Science at York College of Pennsylvania in 1990. She then received her degree as a Physician Assistant in 1992, graduating with highest honors from Essex College in Baltimore, MD. She maintains Board Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is an Affiliate with both the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in OB/GYN.

Q&A

After working in private practice OBGYN for 10 years and referring patients to Dr. Katz and Dr. Yazigi, transitioning to Reproductive medicine seemed like a logical next step, expanding my knowledge and providing an opportunity to perform more advanced clinical procedures. I have a strong need to be successful and to make people happy, and I can’t think of a better place to be professionally than the most successful fertility center in the country.

Anything creative, from scrapbooking and crafts to major home rehab. My husband and I always have a home project in process, and I love making something beautiful and interesting from something old and worn.

I LOVE country music, festivals and Nashville, and will go anywhere for a great concert. When not traveling, I’m usually on the water in some capacity, most recently combining my love for yoga with paddleboarding.
