Harrisburg, PA – Shady Grove Fertility (SGF) announced today that they are a Clinical Partner of UPMC Pinnacle, and will provide fertility services for UPMC Pinnacle hospitals in central Pennsylvania. Patients now have access to SGF’s advanced fertility services at their new location on the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore campus.
SGF at UPMC Pinnacle offers patients in central Pennsylvania the most comprehensive, highly specialized fertility care including diagnostic testing, low-tech treatment options such as intrauterine insemination (IUI), and advanced treatment options such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and donor egg treatment. Fertility preservation prior to cancer treatment, LGBTQ family building services, and egg freezing are also available to patients.
SGF’s Kara Khanh-Ha D. Nguyen, MD, MPH, who practices in SGF’s Lancaster, PA, and Mechanicsburg, PA, locations was named medical director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at UPMC Pinnacle hospitals and will be providing patients with highly specialized, compassionate fertility care in this role.
Dr. Nguyen is one of only a few physicians in the nation who is triple board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and medical genetics. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and her master’s in Public Health from John Hopkins University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware and her subspecialty training in medical genetics at the National Institutes of Health.
