About
The IVF program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) is a referral-based clinic for Department of Defense eligible beneficiaries. Please contact your OB / GYN or primary care physician to place a referral into the MHS Genesis portal. Providers can also fax a referral.
While Assisted Reproductive Care is not a Tricare covered benefit, services are provided at a significant cost savings. Your medication, monitoring and surgical costs are covered by Tricare.
While SGF maintains the IVF lab at Walter Reed, all scheduling and appointments are managed directly by Walter Reed. Further, all treatment cycles, procedures and medical management is directed by Walter Reed physicians.
Although SGF has multiple locations, patients who are enrolled in a treatment cycle with Walter Reed for Assisted Reproductive Care can only be seen at Walter Reed for all their appointments. Patient who opts to be enrolled in the program at Walter Reed would not qualify for the Military discount offered by Shady Grove Fertility.
