Dr. Abraham Munabi has retired from his medical practice. Dr. Kara Nguyen is currently seeing patients at SGF’s Mechanicsburg, PA location. Drs. Isaac Sasson and Caleb Kallen are seeing patients at SGF’s Chesterbrook, PA location.
Abraham K. Munabi, M.D., comes to Shady Grove Fertility after building a successful practice in Pennsylvania, the Reproductive Science Institute of Suburban Philadelphia. He is board certified in reproductive endocrinology as well as gynecology.
Dr. Munabi completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then went on to complete his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the National Fellowship Program at the National Institutes of Health, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and the National Naval Medical Center, where he was awarded the Fogarty Scholarship to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Munabi was awarded the prestigious Buswell Fellowship award while at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he successfully launched that institution’s first in vitro fertilization program. During this period he also became chief of reproductive endocrinology at Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.
Dr. Munabi then moved to the Washington, D.C., area, where he became an attending physician at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. He went on to become an associate professor and director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Munabi has written numerous scientific works and texts on the field of infertility and endocrinology, and he is active in a variety of medical societies including the Endocrine Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, in addition to being a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
